Video No.1

This past week I've been obsessed with Alexandra Stans' video & song called "Get Back (ASAP)." I recommend you kitty cats check it out. I smell a hit.

Whisker Wars

The Ultimate Facial Face-Off.

Catchy ain't it? THIS is what our Fall TV line-up looks like. If you have no idea what I am talking about please check out the preview below before reading further.

Click HERE to watch the Whisker Wars trailer.

OK, now I like a little 5 o' clock shadow but da-yum. I understand people's right to do as they please but please, someone explain this lifestyle choice to me. Anyone? No takers?

Aha... thought so.

I can not wait until this little gem starts & debuts onto the screen of my very large HD television so I can sit back & watch such a marvelous spectacle.

Who's with me? -JLS

Daily Chuckle

As many of you know, or may not know, I have an unnatural obsession with LOL Cats. They make me smile and cringe with their cuteness and sheer ability to make me laugh and of course, chuckle. This one below is no exception. I may be one of the few losers that still finds them cute and funny but I say to those who judge: "So's your mother" (hand gesture included).

Enjoy kids.

P.S. Shout out to those in BOTSWANA & RUSSIA! Much love from the U.S. of A.

Daily Chuckle : Dear Parents,

A Wednesday Morn Debacle

So today as I was going about my daily routine, I encountered this person who debated me the pronunciation of a certain word.

Now, let me clear something up: I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but hot-damn I've got somethings going on, one of them being grammar, pronunciation and a heck of a vocabulary.

With that being said, on with my story! So this... neanderthal... is debating the pronunciation of a word with me. Now, I live in the Rio Grande Valley and pronunciation isn't at the top of anyone's list of important anything down here so it's pretty safe to say the majority of the people don't speak English or Spanish correctly. I have a tendency to correct people, friends or foes, when they say something incorrectly not just to spite or embarrass them (at least not all the time) but because it's what I do. My mother does it to me all the time and I know she does it for my own good. I do it out of a reflex & it's gotten me in trouble before.

This whole debacle got me to think how people don't care to speak correctly; and it's something that society, at least around here, seems to be OK with! Down here, no one corrects you when you say

- "Oiga sir, pa donde estan los bathrooms o estan outback por atras; ahi de que por behind?"

The response?

-"Nombre si estan ahi por atras del building. Nomas make sure que le hagas lock a la door porque no cierra asi all the way."

I'm sorry but that? Is not the way to talk. I got me sort of sad no, disappointed, that that it "normal" behavior. I for one refuse to fall into this vicious cycle of not-caring. In my book, you have two presentation cards.

1) Your appearance because no matter how many people say "looks don't matter" & "looks aren't important" know that you get judged based on how you look and I'm not talking fashion but clean, presentable and put together. It reflects how good or bad you take care of yourself and your body,

2) Your ability to successfully or unsuccessfully put together a cohesive thought. Your mind is the most important tool you can use everyday.

If you don't expand and grow your mind and actually care what comes out of your mouth then what are we doing?

Daily Chuckle : Superglue

I'm so trying this soon.

About to watch the Academy Awards live on ABC. Tootles kids!

- J. Saenz

My Pal, Oscar.

I'll be Tweeting LIVE

Oscars Red Carpet - 2011.

Are you following me on Twitter?

@SAENZRANGEL

On The Red Carpet. Trois.

Angelina Jolie in Versace Atelier is the last but not my least favorite look from this season. This major glitz & glam green beaded gown is stunning.

What do you guys think? Who was YOUR favorite look for this Award Season?

- J. Saenz

On The Red Carpet. Deux.

Second, we have Sofia Vergara in Versace.
Sofia se ve hermosa en este vestido rojo de corset que hace que su figura se vea extraordinariamente hermosa.

On The Red Carpet.

Some of my favorite looks from this Awards Season have been prints, bold jewel tones and romantic silky numbers. 5 o'clock can't come fast enough. This Oscars Red Carpet is going to be major. So far, I'm loving Giuliana Rancic's Christian Siriano Pre-Red Carpet gown.

First off, Mila Kunis in Alexander McQueen. I adore this dress. It's sublime. The original dress on the runway didn't have a belt. I personally love it with the belt. What do you think? Mila looks drop dead gorge.

With A Stick?

The This-Isn't-Helping-My-Spring-Break-Body Post

Photo From J.Saenz

A couple of nights ago, as I was lying with insomnia around my apartment I got a craving for something sweet so I went downstairs and served myself what you see above; chocolate ice cream, Oreos, bananas and blueberries. It got myself to thinking, what the hell has happened?! I'm sitting in my dinning room, alone, eating some sort of sundae! I'm about 14 days away from Spring Break and this? Isn't conducive to good behavior and a thin frame. Last year I was... well... fuller. I was about 25 pounds bigger than my normal weight so I refuse to gain a centimeter anywhere from here to said date.

Last month, I had surgery. It was a routine out-patient procedure. I had my tonsils removed but, what I can say is that thanks to divine intervention and well... a serious infection in my throat, this surgery made me loose 8 pounds (I couldn't eat solids for 9 days).

So... do you think I can keep the weight off? Cross your fingers and pray to your god that I can.

Keep me in your prayers,
 -J.Saenz

Social Experiment

For years now I've been wanting to do this social experiment where I see how people react to me based on how I'm dressed. It's happened to me before; I'm in shorts, tennis shoes and my glasses and I want into a certain store (they will remain nameless) and the shun me! Yet, the next day I walk in wearing designer jeans and bathed in Carolina Herrera and these kids can't get to me fast enough to offer me the moon and the stars.

I've always known that people judge you based solely on your appearance yet, I feel compelled to push the limits and see how people react to certain situations and towards certain people. I can't wait to do this.

Just a little thing I'm gonna throw together soon. Keep checking in to see what I do. ;)
